It is with great sadness that we announce Joyce Craft Ronemous has passed away in Cypress, Texas on May 12, 2025 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Joyce was born on July 26, 1939 in Anderson, South Carolina and was a devoted wife, mother, grandparent and great grandparent who lived her life joyfully. She attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina, Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, and was a graduate in Accounting from the University of Texas, San Antonio. She and her husband Bud enjoyed 63 years of marriage and shared adventures across the globe. She loved traveling the world and sharing her passion with her family. She was an accomplished artist in oils and watercolor, and enjoyed playing the guitar. She especially loved nature, sailing, visiting new locations, exploring antique markets, historic museums, and all animals great and small. Her family often commented that she never met a stray she didn't like and try to bring home.

Joyce instilled in her children great love for family and compassion for friends. Her children learned the lessons from her on the value of hard work and sacrifice and the importance of gratitude. Along with her husband Bud, they infected all their children and grandchildren with a love of travel and adventure, and frequently invited family along.

Joyce was a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. Among her many achievements, she worked as an training manager and consultant in Singapore and India, and founded a successful software development company.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Walter Carlos (Bud) Ronemous and her brother Norman Craft; her children Lynne Ronemous, Clare Keimig and her husband Scot, Michael Ronemous and his wife Mollie; her grandchildren Austin Thurmond and his wife Courtney, Chrystine Gallegos, Kendall Rider and her husband Will, Alex Keimig, Peter Ronemous; and her great-grandchild James Thurmond; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clara Lewis Craft and John Richard Craft; her sisters Eloise Lee and Miriam Osbourne.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 2pm at the Klein Funeral Home in Champions, and the family will receive guests following the service at their home.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org) in honor of Joyce Ronemous.
