Joyce Nadine Mitschke Vogt's Obituary
Joyce Nadine Mitschke Vogt was born on August 22, 1940 and entered Heaven's gates on August 2, 2016. She was born in Giddings Texas to Erwin and Elsie (Bamsch) Mitschke.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Leonard; her two children, Gwen Ulrich and her husband Johnny, Richard and his wife Michele; along with her grandchildren Kerri and Brad Houck, Matthew Ulrich, Joshua Vogt and Lindsey Vogt.
Joyce dearly loved her immediate and extended family including her two sisters Nelda Zoch and Margie Tooker; her husband Don along with nieces and nephews Kim Zoch Henry, Karen Zoch Koncaba, Paul Zoch, Krystee Tooker Dryer and Heather Tooker Blue and their families.
Joyce was a long time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and a student of their school. During her summers as a teenager she worked in the church office. As an adult, she was always delighted to volunteer her time at the church by being a prayer warrior and working on the Joy Line. Joyce graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1958. In her high school years she was quite the athlete. She enjoyed playing softball and was an exceptional volleyball player. She loved fishing, playing games and was a dedicated Houston Texan Football fan. She had a passion for music and built a large collection over the years.
Joyce will always be remembered for her sweet contagious smile and her love for the Lord. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
