Heaven received a beautiful angel on January 23, 2017, when Joyce Marie Smith, 90, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 64 years, Roy L. Smith Sr. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Joyce will be greatly missed.

Born in Boothville, LA, on July 11, 1926, daughter of Jessie Yuratich Hingle and Clement John Hingle. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, and brother Clement Hingle. Survived by her son, Roy L. Smith Jr. and wife Irene; daughter, Joycelyn Marie Rasberry and husband Rodney; sister, Ione Hingle; grandchildren, Scott & Mandy Smith, Stephanie & Larry Galik, Shane & Kristi Smith, Kurt & Shirin Ragas, Chris & Lyndsy Calato, and Kim Beathard; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Reagan & Skeet Smith, Tanner & Luke Galik, Sarah, Kyle & Ariana Ragas, Madison, McKenna & Merritt Beathard, and Cade & Jax Calato .

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Serenity Place Assisted Living who have helped us through this difficult time and provided much love and laughter to Joyce over the last few years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354, on Friday, January 27, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m .

On Sunday, January 29, an additional visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA 70058, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at  9 a.m., with visitation to begin at 7 :30 a.m., on Monday, January 30, in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
