Obituary

Joyce Peggy Jackson was born on February 28th, 1941 in Joinerville, Texas. She graduated from High School in 1960 from St. Mary's Academy in Amarillo, Texas. On February 16 th , 1962 she married the man of her dreams, Mr. Jack Allan Jackson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They started a family there in 1963 and their lives were blessed for many years to follow. In 1975, Joyce, Jack and their 4 children moved to Spring, Texas to begin a new chapter in their lives. Joyce was a devoted Christian and church goer often teaching Sunday school, singing in the church choir and devoting her time to many volunteer organizations and nursing homes. She was married to Jack for over 50 years when he passed away on May 1, 2012. Joyce was very talented in many different activities which included sewing, cooking, painting, singing, crafting and gardening. She loved roses, violets, flowers and all types of birds and pets. She loved to take trips to visit her dear sister Bettye Marie Barnard and her sister-in-law Sharon Jackson and their spouses and children. Mom loved to go to the beach and collect sea shells and work on her tan with the family. She could also be found frequently at the local shops, restaurants, malls and the neighborhood swimming pool. She loved to be outdoors in the sunshine at Starbucks when time was allowed from her busy schedule. She was an amazing sister, sister-in-law, wife, mom, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother and most of all friend. She had such a loving, caring and giving spirit. Jesus was in her heart each and every moment of every day. His light shined bright in her. She touched the lives of those that knew her. She was such a blessing to all of us. Mom left this world and entered into her cottage in Heaven on Friday, December 6 th , 2019 at 11am at the age of 78. Mom lived a full and wonderful life. She is truly missed and she lives in our hearts each and every day. Her love for family and friends cannot be measured. She truly was the rock of our family.
