Joyce E. Holden, 62, of Houston, passed away November 3, 2018.  She was born February 5, 1956, in Lima, OH  to the late Forrest Feathers and Martha Feathers.

She is survived by her husband, David G. Holden; children, Eric Holden and wife Sadie, and Stephanie Holden; grandchildren, Brandt and Palmer Holden, and Emma Bowles; sisters, Jean Grothouse, Judy Schroeder and Janet Dempster; and brother, Dave Feathers.

Including her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Feathers.

Joyce and David celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in April of this year. They started out in Delphos, Ohio followed by Toledo and Knoxville, TN. In 1980 they moved to Bartlesville, OK and in 1989 to Houston, TX. Joyce worked both outside the home and as a homemaker wherever they lived. Her children and three grandchildren were her greatest joy. She will always be remembered as someone who put her family ahead of herself in every way.

Most recently, Joyce was employed by Pediatric Dental Specialists where she worked for over 25 years. As office manager, she was known as "Mama Joyce" by the staff. The success of the business and the well being of her PDS family were very important to her. Joyce was also involved in a variety of volunteer activities over the years. She was president of the Bartlesville, OK Jaycees in 1987. In Texas, her community spirit continued with involvement in groups ranging from the high school booster club to Ducks Unlimited and support for military veterans and their families.

Joyce loved everything about Christmas. The time with family and friends during the holidays brought her such happiness. She collected Christmas decorations and worked tirelessly to make her home beautiful for her family and guests. Christmas movies and Christmas shopping were year round priorities. Joyce truly lived the Christmas spirit of charity, love, compassion and joy of life.
