Joyce Ann Clanton was born in Whitehall, Illinois on July 29, 1942 to Norman Gerald and Margaret Eileen Wyatt. She gained her heavenly reward on August 22, 2024, at the age of 82. She was a devoted wife to Steven D. Clanton for 48 years, until his death. She was the proud mother of Rodney D. Clanton, Teresa A. Ybarra (Jose), Connie L. Rogers (Milos Bednar) and Jerry Elliott (Angela).

Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Justin Magouirk, Jacob Rogers & his wife Courtney, Brittany Johnston & her husband Isaac, Caleb Elliott, Kaley Rogers & her fiancé Hayden Dubois, Katey Goebel & her husband Austin, Seth Hutchins, Michael Bednar, David Bednar & his wife Victoria and her great-grandchildren Keelie Bednar, Rhett Bednar, Riley Bednar, Stetson Dubois, Maisy Goebel, Bennett Bednar and Jaxon Rogers.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steven D. Clanton, parents Norman G. and Margaret E. Wyatt, sister Bonnie L. Shepherd, brothers Steven E. Wyatt and Eric W. Wyatt and grandchild Casey B. Bednar.

She is survived by her brother Jerald K. Wyatt and sister Becky L. Wyatt and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.

We honor and remember a truly exceptional woman whose life was a testament to her deep love for Jesus and unwavering faith. She was a lover of the Word of God, drawing strength and guidance from its pages, and a prayer warrior who believed in the power of prayer for direction and healing.

Her servant's heart was evident to all who knew her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, embodying Christ's love in everything she did. With a warm smile that could brighten even the darkest of days, she welcomed everyone with open arms and a non-judgmental spirit. Her kindness was boundless, and she had a gentle way of making everyone feel seen and valued.

She was a hard worker, dedicated to every task she took on, always striving to do her best. A peacemaker at heart, she sought to bring harmony and understanding to those around her. She was a Mom/Nanny J to many, nurturing and guiding with wisdom, love and patience. Her impact on those she cared for is immeasurable.

She was truly one of a kind, a lady whose presence enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for her family was profound, and she cherished the time spent with them. Her affection extended beyond her immediate family to her church families as well. She loved the churches she attended throughout her life, finding joy and fulfillment in the fellowship and love they provided.

As we say goodbye, we find solace in knowing that she is now with her Savior, surrounded by the love and peace she so deeply cherished in life. Though she will be missed, her legacy of faith, love and service will continue to inspire us all. She was a beacon of light, and her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
