Jovanah opened our eyes to a world few get to know. Each child is special in their own way, but few come to this world to watch their parents grow and learn. Jovanah taught each and every one of us something that makes us a better person. As her mother, I owe her everything that I am, and she taught me everything I know – Jovanah taught me what is truly important and what is not. She taught me to never give up and that nothing is impossible.
Jovanah taught her brothers and sister to be mature and responsible, humble, forgiving, and kind. To be thankful for what they have and who they are. She taught them to share and think outside the box. To be problem solvers. She taught them to be accepting of anyone different and helpful of those who cannot help themselves. She also taught them what true love and loss is – all without ever saying a word.
You don't realize just how much influence a person has on you until they are gone. This is how we feel in these days since she left us. To those who were a part of her life and for those who were with us in her last few weeks I will be forever grateful. You helped me make her life a little better. To my husband, children, and family who sacrificed so much in order to help me care for Jovanah -- I will be forever in debt to -- for I could never have done this alone.
Jovanah leaves behind so many who loved her and will miss her forever. It makes us feel better knowing she is with her Grandpa in heaven and free of illness and suffering.
