Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend peacefully went to heaven on Sunday May 28, 2017. He was born in Springfield, Vermont on February 12, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Alyce Spencer and his brothers Fr. Francis Spencer, Charles Spencer, Bernard Spencer, and  Gerard Spencer. After graduating high school, Joseph Spencer entered the U.S. Navy and served as a medical corpsman. Happily married to Josephine Ann Spencer for 51 years, they raised 5 children, Deanna Phillips(George) of Vancouver Washington, Laura Spencer of Redmond Washington, Gary Spencer(Scarlet) of spring Texas, Tom Spencer(Marcie) of Seattle Washington, Marie Brotherton(Tom) of Palmyra Virginia, 8 grandchildren, Brandee, Nicole, Christina,Ryan, Marisa, Alyce, Cheyenne Mariel and great grandchildren Brayden, Khloe, Jayda, Aria, Laci, and Skylar. Grandpa Joe lived his life in Springfield Vermont, Tacoma Washington, Mercer Island Washington, and Spring Texas. He was a long time employee of St. Regis Pulp and Paper, Bethlehem Steel, Seattle Steel, And Costco.

Houston services will be held at Klein Funeral Home June 3,2017 in Tomball Texas, viewing at 1pm services at 2pm. Seattle services will be held at our Lady Of The Lake Parish on July 13, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers continued prayers are requested.
