Joseph "Joey" Scott Simoneaux passed peacefully on January 5th, 2022 at the age of 39 in his home in Tomball, Texas. He was surrounded by his wife, his parents and other family. Joey fought a hard battle against pancreatic cancer with bravery and grace. He is reunited with his brother, Melvin Eugene Simoneaux, III and other loving family. He is survived by his loving wife Ren-Elise Nelson and his 3 children Emory Ann Simoneaux, Oliver Joseph Simoneaux and Derek James Woodard, Parents Melvin Eugene Simoneaux, Jr. and Jeannine Ann Simoneaux, Nephew Luke Eugene Simoneaux, Sister-in-Law Jennifer Rae Simoneaux and Goddaughter Paris Mikaela Guidry. He is also survived by a host of other family, friends, Hank, June, Trappy and Mel B (his "sweet pea").

Joey was raised in South Louisiana and attended UL Lafayette where he received a Bachelors Degree in Applied Life Sciences. He worked as a Safety Professional in Oil & Gas for Cameron Surface Systems for 15 years, which brought him to the Houston area. Joey will be fondly remembered for his love of music, travel and his children. He was a member of a local gun club and recently started a custom woodworking business. Joey had the best laugh and the worst singing voice.
