Joe Mayfield, of Houston Texas, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at age 76. Joe was born August 15, 1940. Predeceased by his wife Marilyn Pointer he is survived by his two sisters, Jeanette Alewine and Carol Mayfield-Roberts; sons, Joey and Michael, grandchildren, Miranda Pierce, Mallory Garcia, and Ashley Mayfield; two great grandchildren, Mia and Marlo Pierce; nieces and nephews, Robin, Suzanne, Dale, Tracy, Brian, Alison, Karen, and Kelly. Joe lived a full life. Loved being around people and never met a stranger. He would do whatever it took to help others in need. He was a fun loving man and always brought the party to him. A private family gathering will be held in honor of Joe this Saturday, January 21, 2017. Joe will be laid to rest next to Marilyn in Austin Texas.
