Joseph C. Kennedy "Big Joe," loving husband of Catherine, joined his daughter Theresa on August, 30th. Beloved father grandfather, he is remembered by son Joseph, his wife Terri and their daughters Lindsey and Kalin; son Michael and his son Sean; daughter Cathy, her husband Tom and their children John, Christopher and Erin.

He was born in 1933 in Bronx, NY, actually, Highbridge on the Harlem, in the shadow of Yankee Stadium. At age 19 he fought in the Korean War with the 3rd Infantry, finishing his military career as an MP. When he returned home, he attended St. John's University.  After 30 years as an accountant for Champion International, he retired as a vice president of the real estate division.

Big Joe was a devoted family man who took great pride in bringing up children. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to so many places around the world and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, scoring an eagle at St. Andrews.  He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  Above all, the 59 years he spent with his loving wife, was his greatest joy.
