Joseph Huey Hooter's Obituary
Joseph H. Hooter, 88, loving husband & father, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Houston.
Joe served in the 4th Army Division in Louisiana as an MP for 6 years. He retired from Continental Insurance after 35 years of service. He did volunteer work at Cy-Fair Hospital & a local nursing home plus he devoted his time to many activities & functions at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Joe was born in Cottonport, LA on March 7, 1930 to Isaac & Selma Hooter. He was preceded in death by his parents & two brothers, Clayton Hooter & Milan Hooter. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Ann Hooter, & four children: Joseph R. Hooter, Rebecca (Ron) Aronson, Mark (Winifred) Hooter & Wayne Hooter; grandchildren: Shannon (Robert) Hooter-Cruz, Jason (Heather) Aronson, Ida Aronson (Brandon Keller) & Tammy (Paul) Vitolo; neices: Alice Adele Dauzat & Deanna Hooter; two great grandsons; two step granddaughters & six step great grandchildren, of which appreciation is extended to one of these children, Jeremy, for his help in Joe's time of need.
The Hooter family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses & hospital staff that have taken care of Joe during the years of his illnesses.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Pkwy., Houston, TX.
