José Paulo Sterman Ferraz was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on August 8, 1950, and passed away in Houston, Texas, on May 3, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, José Bento Faria Ferraz and Sonia Sterman Ferraz.

Paulo is lovingly remembered by his siblings, José Bento, Mario, and Luiza; his children: Gabriela and her husband Paul; Daniel and his wife Sheyla; Lucas; and Nicholas. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Christopher, Naesha, William, Isabelle, Felipe, and Max—and the love of his life, Cecilia.

Paulo dedicated his life to helping others grow, building and leading ventures across the world. He was a man who chose the path less traveled, guided by courage, vision, and determination. Those who had the privilege of walking alongside him witnessed firsthand his perseverance and unwavering pursuit of his dreams.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77379. The mass can be viewed live HERE beginning 5 minutes before.

A reception at the church will follow mass.
