Jose Luis Sanchez, Jr., passed away January 25, 2018, while traveling in San Jose, Costa Rica. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas. He will be laid to rest at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery in Pinehurst, TX.
Jose, known as Lou to most everyone who knew him, was born in San Jose, CA on June 6, 1977 to Jose and JoAnn Sanchez. Lou attended Klein High School in Spring, TX, worked in construction, the building materials industry and was owner/operator of his pool building business, Waterstone Pools. He was a leader in the industry and was dedicated to ensuring his customers were satisfied.
Lou was a devoted and caring father and loved his daughter, Samantha, with all his heart. This was evident through simply watching the two of them...or listening to them sing Disney songs together. He was a good-hearted, friendly man that never met a stranger. He was always willing to give, even when he did not have.
Lou was an aficionado of 'dives,' and could always tell a person the best place to eat that was off the beaten path. He loved football and the New York Jets, even when their season was a complete disaster. And if the Jets weren't playing, Lou always rooted for the underdog team, the same way he lived his life…fighting for the underdog.
Lou was a hugger. Simply said, there are few people in the world that can deliver a hug as good as he did...big, bear hugs. H e always looked for the good in people and rarely had anything negative to say about anyone. He was known to all as a friend and loved by so many family, friends and those who had only just met him.
Lou is survived by his daughter, Samantha Jolyn Sanchez, his parents, Jose Luis Sanchez and JoAnn Sanchez; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee Lynn Sanchez and J Paul Long, and Susan Dotson and David Dotson, his niece and nephews, Sergio Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Stephanie Sanchez, Johnny Dotson and Jake Dotson. Lou is also survived by his step-children, Tyler Bothmann, Taylor Bothmann and Kaitlyn Bothmann, as well as by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
