Jose Hugo Peña, 66, of San Angelo, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1959, the beloved son of Otilia and Ramon Peña. Hugo's parents preceded him in death, as did his sister, Irma.

Hugo lived a life of adventure and service. He traveled the world working for Halliburton and spent more than three decades in the oil and gas industry, earning respect for his expertise, work ethic, and generous spirit. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Hugo enjoyed motorcycles and vintage vehicles, but above all, he cherished his loyal dog, Ruby.

Hugo's kindness touched many lives. He was known for his big heart, warmth, and willingness to lend a helping hand to family and friends.

He is survived by his sisters and their families—Rosa Sullivan, Nora Peña, and Molly Gailbreath—and is remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to celebrate Hugo's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 29, 2025 in the Lady Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, Spring, TX.

Hugo will be deeply missed, but his spirit and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
