Jose Cruz Hernandez, 70, of Houston, TX died on December 8th 2016. Jose, son of Lorenzo and Juanita Hernandez, loving husband of Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, passed away after a courageous and valiant fight with cancer.

Jose's life will be honored and remembered by his children, Sophia Hernandez and her husband Estevan Calamaco, Jose Cruz Hernandez Jr, and Daniel Hernandez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew R. Hernandez, Jacob D. Hernandez, Nathan Hernandez, Caleb C. Hernandez, Noah G. Calamaco, Alyssa N. Calamaco, Taylor D. Calamaco and Timothy M. Calamaco. Jose was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Jose Hernandez and Juanita Gonzalez. He is survived by his siblings Guadalupe P. Hernandez (wife Virginia), Jose Lorenzo Hernandez (wife Rosa), Lorenzo P. Hernandez Jr. (wife Martha).

Jose was born in Mercedes Texas on May 3rd 1946. Jose married the love of his life Maria in 1970. They moved to Houston in 1976. Jose worked at Corporate Care for 20 years until his retirement. Jose loved to spend time with family, barbeque, go fishing and play with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
