Jordan Wible Taylor was born in Houston, Texas on October 28, 1934, and passed away in Tomball, Texas on March 9, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Nona Furrer-Taylor. Sister Velma Ruth Taylor & husband James Henry: Brother Walter J. Jordan is survived by his daughters, Melinda Taylor Grissom and Husband Robert, and Diana Taylor. Ex-Wife Joyce P. Taylor.

Grandchildren: Trey Boswell & Wife Jennifer: Jordan Sommerfield & Wife Ashley: Joyce Marie Sommerfield: Melissa Grissom & Husband Matt Hinson: Rachel Grissom & Husband Case Silliman: Jake Grissom.

Great Grandchildren: Elliotte, Oliver & Alexander Boswell, Javan & Bailey Sommerfield, J.Grayson Hinson, Millie Rae & Lennie Jo Silliman.

Nephews & Nieces: Debbie Henry & Husband Steve Dempsey, David Curttright and wife Melissa, Kevin Curttright & wife Michelle, Guy Curttright & wife Stacey. Angie Taylor & Husband Donnie Nichols, Joe Taylor & wife Mary Ann.

Mr Jordan Taylor also is survived by many grand nephews and nieces.

Mr. Jordan Taylor Also had bonus Daughters Lisa Leago Spears and Donna Leago Bond.

Special friends: Billy Wynn, Todd Gurka, Roger Schultz, Raymond (Dinky) Stauffataur, and Gene Zeboroski.

Jordan Taylor was a 1953 graduate of Spring Branch High School in Houston, Texas. Jordan played Football as a Spring Branch BEAR, Ran Track, excelled in Shotput, Discus.  He attended Wharton Junior College. He followed his Father into the Construction business where he built a successful company J.W. Taylor Construction. He married Joyce Boatcallie in July 2, 1956 and had Three Daughters Diana, Melinda, Glenda.

He was a member of the Jersey Village Church of Christ, Cy-Fair Lions Club, Cy-Fair Rotary Club, Cy-Fair FFA Booster Club, Cy-Fair Optimist Club, Country Corner Social Club where he played "Moon" and shuffle board with his friends. He supported the Shriners Association, and was a Life Time member of the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department at Station 4 off of Cypress-Church rd. where he spent a lot of time helping people in their worst moments. When he retired, 2010 he moved to his farm in Oakwood, Tx. He spent his days taking care of his garden, hunting, fishing, having fish fries with his neighbors. All the while enjoying weekends with his family and his Grandkids and his Great Grands.

A memorial service for Jordan will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77345.
