Obituary

Jordan Emerson passed away on June 3rd, 2019 with his family by his side.  Born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas on November 4, 1993.  He lived in Cypress Texas, but had the pleasure to live in Singapore and Australia.  He loved to travel to new places and he had the opportunity to visit Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taipei, Japan, Fiji, Indonesia, United Kingdom and several other great locations.  He wanted to see the world and now he is seeing it all.

Jordan enjoyed going to the beach and lake to fish and to do water activities and watching the sunrise or sunset.  He grew up playing and watching football, basketball, baseball, and soccer.  He liked to ride dirt bikes and play ping pong with his brothers.   He loved the cold weather and enjoyed snowboarding in Colorado and Wyoming as well as visiting other colder climate places.  He continuously strived to learn more by reading and doing research.  However, what he really treasured the most was just catching up with friends and family.

Jordan was a very special and caring individual and wanted to help everyone he could in good times as well as bad.  His kind heart and selfless act of organ donation has directly impacted several families as well as thousands indirectly through specific research programs.  He is smiling knowing he made a difference for people.

Jordan had a tremendous love for animals when visiting friends and family you could always find him playing with the family's pets.  At home he would laugh and play with Shipley, the goldendoodle,  grab treats and make him do tricks over and over.

"Missing You Always" -  You never said I'm leaving, you never said goodbye.  You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.   In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.  In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill.  It broke my heart to lose you but you didn't go alone.  A part of me went with you the day God took you home.

Although God gave Jordan his wings earlier than any of us could imagine, we know he is in a better place; no struggles, no strife and no pain.  His loss causes a heartache like no other.  Today, tomorrow, and always, we'll fight through this grief not by forgetting, but by remembering the genuine, wonderful and caring person with a beautiful infectious smile.

He is survived by his parents Monica and Brent Emerson, his older brother Kyle and younger brother Logan, his grandparents Vivian and Ralph Emerson and grandmother Helen Cornish as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his grandfather Eugene Cornish and cousin Brandon Hanna.
