Jonathan Rolfe Barlow, 60 years of age, of Magnolia Texas, passed from this life May 14th 2025. Jon was born April 30th 1965 to Patricia and Allan Barlow in Haverill, Massachusetts.

Jon was a loving, gentle and kind husband, father, brother and son. He had two real passions in life: golf was one. The others were his two daughters Katherine and Laura. Jon had a keen and inquiring mind and would research anything that took his interest so that he would have a solid and factual foundation for his opinions. American and World history, particularly areas relating to the military, were his main focus but religion and faith, health and nutrition were also topics for his private study. He also had a quick wit and was always up for fun, particularly ready to play a practical joke or two.

Perhaps the most formative experience of his life was the time he spent at Norwich Academy where he graduated with a BA in Computer Science. An establishment that had been part of the Barlow family for generations and perhaps gave him the ability and strength to persevere, never accepting defeat without a fight.

Jon went on to have a long and successful career in high tech working for companies such as Raytheon, Computervision, Mercury and Perfecto before retiring from the industry in 2019.

In January 2020 Jon bought a retail franchise and opened a Pet Supplies Plus located in Conroe in October of 2021.

Jon was very well respected in both of his careers and known for his ability to mentor and encourage all who worked with him to achieve greater things. He genuinely believed that he would only be successful if his primary goal was to serve.

He had a great number of friends and was still in contact with his high schools and college peers.

Even with his colorectal cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2021, Jon never gave up fighting for a future filled with all that he loved. His family and his friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife Heather, ex wife Rachael Bynam and their two daughters Katherine and Laura and his step children Katy, Finn and Eddie. Jon is also survived by his father Allen, his brothers David and Stuart, sister Avie as well as their spouses Kathleen, Lisa and Suguru.

Jon was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Barlow in October 2020.

The visitation will be held Monday, May 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home-Magnolia. The funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday May 27th at the Klein Memorial Park in Magnolia, followed by his burial within the grounds.
