Jonathan Joseph Lee Altendorfer, a life-long resident of Tomball, Texas, died unexpectedly on September 13, 2021 at the age of 36 when he was struck by a car in an auto-pedestrian accident.

Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Trulee Altendorfer-Artieda, his parents, Donald Altendorfer and Leann Olson-Hughes, his sisters, Stacie Phillips and Taryn Altendorfer, his Grandmother Jean Olson, Uncle Keith, Aunt Kathie, Auntie Darla, cousins Karn, Krystel, Kyle, Brice, Christopher, and Cody, former spouse Stacey Kelly, and many beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward Altendorfer and Charlotte Altendorfer, maternal grandfather, Richard Olson, and his uncle, Brent Olson.

Born in Tomball, Texas on February 23, 1985, Jonathan was a fun-loving kid who loved to play jokes on his sisters and embarrass them when their friends came over. Jonathan was so smart and good at anything he tried, including sports like skateboarding and bowling. He started bowling as a young child around age 5 and continued through his young adult years and won many trophies. In his early teens, he developed a passion for music and could play almost any instrument, but primarily loved to play guitar, write songs, and sing and perform them at local venues with his band. He had a great sense of humor and also had a deeper philosophical side. His proudest moment in life was becoming a father.  He taught his daughter, Trulee, to play guitar when she was very young and passed down his love for music and creative writing to her. His spirit lives on in music and in our hearts forever.
