Obituary

In Memory Of Jon Fredric Patterson

Jon Fredric Patterson passed away into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 7th, 2025. He was born March 21st, 1940 to Earl F. and Luar Patterson in Tulsa Oklahoma and was married to the love of his life, Mary Jane (Henderson) Patterson who predeceased him in April, 2010. Together they enjoyed over 43 years of marriage and enjoyed their sons in family activities and summer in the Texas Hill Country. Jon is survived by his sons, Michael and his wife Laura, Ronald and his wife Emmy; grandchildren Marissa, Keileigh, Austin, Alex; great granddaughter, Olivia Jane; sister, Linda King; numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Jon graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, class of 1958 and University Of Houston in 1964. After college graduation he volunteered in the U.S. Army Reserve. While in basic training he was appointed Trainee Field First Sergeant and upon completion was awarded the civilian medal, The American Spirit Honor Medal. Following six years of reserve service Jon was honorably discharged.

He had a passion for riding his Harley, country dancing, small red cars, boating on Lake Conroe, listening to the music of Jim Reeves and spending quality time with his family and little bundles of love, Sophie, Dorothy, and Tessie.

Jon was truly blessed in life and thanked God each day for his many undeserved blessings, and never lost sight that tomorrow is not guaranteed. His life was truly well lived.
