Johnny L. Scardino "PaPa Johnny" was born September 11, 1926, and passed away December 10, 2021, at the age of 95.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mamie Scardino; wife, Bettie Scardino; granddaughter Mandy Thompson; Raymond Gilmore, son-in-law;  and sister and brother-in-law Lena and Mac Hartt.

Survived by daughters Sherrill Portis and husband Bryan, and Becky Gilmore; grandchildren, Charlie Thompson and wife Tina, Raelyn Wars and husband James, and Monty Portis and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren, C.J. Thompson, Corbin Portis and Payton Portis; great-great grandchildren, Kohen Thompson and Jamison Thompson; and many cousins and friends.

Johnny proudly serviced in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

There will be a brief visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Klein Memorial Park, 32539 State Hwy 249, Pinehurst, TX.
