Johnny "Mac" Allen McRoberts, 72, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, at home with his family by his side, after a long, courageous battle with Atypical Parkinson's disease.  He was born March 30, 1951, in Houston, Texas to Edward Lewis McRoberts and Beulah Bell James McRoberts.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, his son, David Sample McRoberts and his brother, Edward Lewis McRoberts, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Smith-McRoberts; his daughter, Wendi and husband, Chris Baker, along with their three children, his pride and joy, Madison, Austin and Mason; his stepson, Jason, and his wife, Angela Smith, along with their son, Shannon Rhodes; his brother, Terry and wife, Beckie McRoberts; his sister, Debbie and her husband, David Bennett.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved spending time with, and a host of friends.

He graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston, Texas, 1970 and studied Criminology at Sam Houston State University.  He devoted most of his career to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, where he protected and served his community, while receiving many accolades, until he retired in 2006.

After he retired, he enjoyed trips to California to visit his Grandchildren, whom he loved spending time with.  They enjoyed many fun vacations, which included several cruises, something he LOVED to do.

He and his wife shared countless, memorable vacations to exciting destinations; sometimes just the two of them, but usually with family or a group of friends.

He didn't have a lot of hobbies, but he did love to fish.  It was always a competition to see 'Who caught the first, last, biggest, smallest and of course, the most!

He liked listening to country music and hosting parties at The Dawg House.  He loved to laugh at funny shows and never missed the evening news.  You could always catch him watching the game, if the Houston Texans or the Astros were playing.

As his disease progressed over the years, he was still able to maintain his wit and humor.  He embraced his challenges with grace.  His courage was an inspiration to many.

His Celebration Of Life with close friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.
