John William (Bill) Blaine, 80, of Cypress, TX passed from this life on July 29, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1945 to John Warner Blaine and Juanita Cockrell Blaine in Dimmit, TX.

Bill attended West Texas State University attaining a BS degree in Mathematics. After serving 2 years in the Army, he moved to Austin, TX where he met and married Lynn Tracy. He then earned an accounting degree at the University of Texas. Upon graduating, he moved to Houston, TX and worked for Saber Petroleum as an accountant, but he soon moved to the trading division and became a Natural Gas Liquids trader. He enjoyed trading and also worked for Stinnes Chemical and Pride Refining. In the late 1980's, he started a Contracting Company where he worked until retirement. He loved baseball and the time he spent as a scout for the Atlanta Braves. Bill also dearly loved his many dogs and never met a dog he didn't like, always having a treat in his pocket. He looked forward to family gatherings, holidays and time spent at family reunions. He will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Lynn Tracy Blaine, children: Wendy Blaine and fiancé Reid Sutton, James and wife Kate Blaine, Brannon and wife Elizabeth Blaine, Becky Blaine and partner Karl Keddington, and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and her husband Beverly and Mike Milligan and their children: Pat and wife Erika Milligan, Mollie and husband Brian Fabian and Matt and wife Lindsey Milligan and their 8 grandchildren. He also leaves his sister-in-law Jill and husband Jimmy Vernor and brother-in-law Ted and wife Janet Tracy. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Klein Funeral Homes, 7919 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065

In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of John William Blaine
