John passed away on July 31, 2016 after a courageous battle with dementia. John was born in Luxore Arkansas on November 18, 1937 to John and Sally (nee Isabel) Warren.

John graduated from Gideon High School in Gideon Missouri. He spent the next 4 years serving his country in The US Air Force. He was Baptized and Confirmed on March 30, 1958 at Faith Lutheran Church, Austin, Tx.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen and their children Linda Annette Warren of Royse City, Texas, Kathy Jean Hattox and husband Walter of Sugar Land, Texas, Kay Johnna Leatherwood of Spring Texas, and Jacob Luther Warren of Jamaica Plain, Ma. He is also survived by his brother, Luther and wife Phyllis as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John is grandfather to six awesome grandchildren, Rev John Pflug and wife Brittany, Mike Warren Pflug and wife Kelsey, Kim Pflug, Kirsten Wappler and husband Greg, Charllott and Kasey Leatherwood and three great grandchildren, Emma Pflug, Rowan and James Wappler.
