John J. Szczesny was born on October 17, 1938 in Erie, Pa. He passed away on August 8, 2016 in Houston Texas at the age of 77. John is survived by his wife Mary, sons Michael and Donald and his wife Vicki, daughter Karen and her husband Richard, and several nephews and nieces in Erie, Pa. He adored his grandchildren Jenna, Jared, Amanda, and Katherine. He is also survived by his brother Daniel. Preceding him in death are his parents Adam and Josephine Rys Szczesny, brother Paul, and sister Marcia. He graduated from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. He worked for many years as an auditor in the oil and gas industry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
A funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 10:30am.
