John Dennis Snodgrass

John Dennis “Dennie” Snodgrass, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and longtime member of the Tomball community, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on January 17, 1947, to John and Lottie Snodgrass. 

Dennie graduated from Valley High School in 1964. As a young adult, he proudly served as a member of the United States National Guard. Throughout his working life, Dennie built a career in sales, where his natural ability to connect with people and his genuine interest in others served him well. 

On June 22, 1968, Dennie married the love of his life, Diane Snodgrass. Together, they built a life centered around family, community, and the many things Dennie loved. He was a devoted husband to Diane, a loving father to his son, Michael Snodgrass, and a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Megan Snodgrass. 

Dennie was passionate about cars and auto racing. In 2003, he purchased The Racing Station in Tomball, Texas, and operated the business for approximately a decade. His enthusiasm for racing and automobiles made the store a natural expression of one of his greatest interests and gave him another opportunity to become a familiar and friendly face in the Tomball community. 

In that same spirit of community involvement, Dennie joined the Tomball Rotary Club in 2003. He became deeply involved in the organization and served as Club President from 2009 to 2010. His commitment to Rotary and to serving others was recognized when he was named Rotarian of the Year. 

Dennie had a special love for animals, and his beloved bulldog, Lizzy, held a treasured place in his heart. Lizzy was more than a pet—she was a cherished companion and a faithful part of Dennie’s life. His love for animals reflected the warmth and kindness he showed to so many. 

Those who knew Dennie will remember his love for his family, his passion for cars and racing, and his special affection for animals. He cherished the people and interests that brought joy to his life, and he leaves behind memories that will remain with all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Dennie is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Snodgrass; his son, Michael Snodgrass; and his granddaughter, Megan Snodgrass. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched through his work, community service, and friendships. 

His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the community he served, and the memories he created throughout his remarkable life.
