John Gilbert Patterson, 76 of Cypress, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was born September 8, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana to John F. Patterson and Vera Katherine Patterson (Hogue). He married Theresa Katheryn Patterson-(Kathy) March 9, 1963.

John dedicated his life to his work as an accountant for more than 50 years, he recently retired from DXP Enterprises, Inc. as a Tax Accountant with more than twenty years of service. John loved his dogs and being outdoors working in the garden.

John is survived by one brother, Charles Wayne Patterson and wife Mary of Rosedale, Indiana; two sons, John B. Patterson (Joy), Steve A. Patterson (Kelly) and a special niece he considered like a daughter, Bobbie Patterson (Gary Riordan) all of Cypress, Texas; two grandchildren; John E. Patterson (Casey) and Ryan M. Patterson; one great-granddaughter; Harper Nicole; one step-granddaughter; Kaitlyn Stein. John also has a niece Penny Jo Ward (Mike) and a Nephew Michael Patterson (Kristi) of Terre Haute, Indiana. He also has a great-niece and great-nephews that he considered his grandchildren; London Robinson (niece) Ramante, Aswad, Kahlil and Kalib Robinson and more family and friends than can be listed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; Robert E. Patterson. Cremation has been chosen and care entrusted to Klein Funeral Home.
