John George Obsheatz,  age 76, of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 in his home in Cypress, Texas surrounded by loved ones.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Lillian Obsheatz and the love of his life, his wife Marcia Obsheatz. He is survived by his daughters, Shirrel (Sherry) Obsheatz and Michelle Obsheatz, his son John William Obsheatz and wife Lisa, sister, Judy Obsheatz, grandchildren, Krystal Obsheatz, Chelsea Osborne, John E. Obsheatz and Megan Obsheatz and great-grandchildren Aliyah and Mya.

John was a man with an indomitable spirit.  He became a paraplegic at a young age and dealt with chronic pain most of his life.He was able to navigate through many of the obstacles facing people with disabilities to become a leading petrochemical piping designer.  He worked with many of the top companies in the oil and gas industry, including, Bechtel, Kellogg Brown and Root, and Fluor Daniel.  John also worked on the South Texas Nuclear Project.

John loved to socialize and was incredibly charming and funny.  He could have a whole room laughing in a matter of minutes with one of his many stories. Our hearts are broken that he is no longer with us.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held 6:00pm Thursday, November 14th 2019 at Klein Funeral Home - Cyfair Northwest located at 9719 Wortham Blvd near FM 1960.
