John Albert Nirider Jr. entered eternal rest on October 27, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born to John Nirider Sr. and Edith Scott on February 20, 1932. He graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1951 and then attended Princeton University for 2 years before being drafted into the Korean War, serving in Labrador. After he returned he graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. On March 14, 1953 he married Faye M. Quirk.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Nirider. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Asous and husband Wadea of Houston, TX, daughter Deanne Nirider of Neptune, NJ, son Scott Nirider and wife Penny of Brownsburg, IN; grandchildren Emile Asous and wife Kristin of Pinehurst, TX, George Asous and wife Ashley of Houston, TX, Helen Asous of Houston, TX, Tyler Asous of Houston, TX, John Nirider III and wife Brandy of Brownsburg, IN, Jim Nirider and wife Lyndsey of Brownsburg, IN; great grand children Makenzie Asous and Madalynn Asous of Pinehurst, TX and Georgia Asous of Houston, TX.
He was a devoted husband and father, friend, advisor and businessman. His family was a priority and he enjoyed spending time with them and could spin many tales about their adventures. He loved to debate on all topics especially politics, sports and religion. He enjoyed golfing, traveling around the world with his wife and saw many countries and continents. Annual treks to Iron Mountain, Michigan were a highlight spent with his family and their extended family.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, October 30th @ 3:00PM at Windwood Presbyterian Church located on 10555 Spring Cypress Road, Houston, TX 77070. In lieu of customary remembrances and for those desiring, the family request with gratitude, that memorial contributes be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
