John Phillip Moore, age 77, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Houston, TX.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Nettie Mae and by his 4 sisters: Betty Jo, Shirley Jean, Patricia Ann and Ruby Helen.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen; daughter, Tracey, and husband Glen; granddaughters, Madison and Jessica; sister, Bonnie and husband Albert and his Special pal Riley and grand dogs, Angie and Willie and many others who loved him dearly.

John was a craftsman extraordinaire.  He could build a house from the ground up, a trade he learned at young age from his father, and could fix anything. He spent his career in air conditioning installation and became superintendent on many large projects.

John loved to wade fish and always had stories to tell about his adventures. John became interested in various wood projects including turning, carving and burning and created many beautiful pieces in the process.

John dearly loved his classmates from junior and senior high and became life long friends. He loved attending class reunions/get togethers under the "Big Oak Tree" at Cathy and Donnies' home in the country.

John loved his family dearly!!!

All of his family and friends would like to express their appreciation to all of the doctors, nurses, staff, and home care nurse that have cared for him for the past 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Dayton Pioneer Student Association P.O. Box 2636 Dayton, Texas 77535. This is a college scholarship fund for deserving graduates.
