John Michael Lewis "Mike"

John Michael Lewis passed away on August 10, 2020. Mike was born to Sandra Mae Lewis and Michael Lewis in Beaumont, TX on December 12, 1961. Everyone who knew Mike loved him. Mike was always full of joy and had a smile on his face. He never met a stranger, loved every baby and animal he ever knew. Mike had an adventurous spirit and loved going on long walks on the railroad tracks or to "Spindletop Oil Well" with his grandmother when he was a boy. He ran for gold in Special Olympics and outran the competition by a "country mile." This was the little boy who doctors said he would never talk and never walk. Mike, you were a living miracle, a testament to the goodness and love of your Heavenly Father, Your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and your Comforter, Holy Spirit. Although in life your body held you like a cocoon, you have now broken free into the marvelous light of the Glory of God and we know you are dancing on streets of gold, never more to be bound or restricted in your mind or body. You will be missed and loved always here on this earth, until we meet again Shalom.
