LOVELACE, John Madoux, age 67, of Plantersville, Texas, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2020. He grew up in Pasadena and worked in the construction industry for over 50 years throughout the Houston area. John was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ.

John was always the life of the party, wherever he went!  He loved to dance and entertain a crowd, and he ALWAYS had a good story to tell.

John had a passion for baseball and coached and officiated youth baseball for over 20 years. He was a member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo for 21 years, serving as a volunteer with the Corral Club Committeemen's Club, Special Children's Committee and was a former Chairman of the Stadium Committeemen's Club.  John was also a member of the Salt Grass Trail Ride for over 20 years and an owner of Wagon 15.  One of his greatest joys was having his girls and grandchildren on the ride.  John had a great love for his family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Francis "Ticky" Lovelace, and his sister, Sara "Bunny" Peres. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Melanie Lovelace; his daughters, Crystal Klepetko and husband Rick, Mandy Schank and husband Robert, Lynsee Jo Olivo and husband Roger; his son, John Lovelace; Goddaughter, Lauren Spinks and husband Roger; Godson Luke Luethold and wife Shannon; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Massey, Evelyn Hughes and husband Robert; brother, Jesse "Sarge" Lovelace and Christine; sister-in law, Sharon Ross and husband Ray; brother-in-law, George Yarborough and wife Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We wish to offer a special thanks to John's caregivers who have taken such loving care of him over the past 2 years – Jackie Johnson, Jeranne Rich, Tammy Fowler and Tammy Trunk; Southern Knights Memory Care and ProMedic Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm Saturday, 12/26/2020, and the service will begin at 2:00pm at the Magnolia Church of Christ, 823 S Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX   77355.  There will be a private graveside service in Trout Creek Cemetery, Call, TX, Sunday afternoon. The family requests that everyone wear masks and practice social distancing.
