John Douglas LaFavour, 77 of Houston passed away July 9, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Jinx LeFavour, sister Jane Milner, stepdaughter Tammy Oha,  stepsons BJ and Marc Bowles, son-in-law Tony Oha, daughter-in-law Sherri Bowles and Condi Bowles, 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, brother-in-law Benny Mitchell, nephews Steven Mitchell and Clint Milner and nieces Jennifer Mitchell, Margaret Olle and Katherine Harper.

John graduated from University of Oklahoma in May, 1964.  He continued his education and became a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants November, 1976.  The first half of his professional life he worked for several corporations as secretary/treasurer.

For the last 20 years he worked in Insurance Sales.  There he met lifelong friends, and won sales awards and wonderful trips with those friends.

In earlier years John loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them on adventures.  They called him "PaPa", sometimes "silly PaPa" who was never too tired to watch "one more" Disney show.  John loved his family, chocolate, watching movies and listening to music.
