It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, John Mark Lee Jones, 19, of Spring, Texas.

John Mark was known as "Jammer" among other nicknames. He passed away on March 27, 2026, at The University Medical Center in Lubbock. John Mark was finishing his freshman year at Texas Tech, where he was studying Biology. His cause of death is still unknown, however, it is important to know it was not related to drugs or self-harm, but rather to a medical event.

John Mark was a devoted Christian young man who left this life to be with his Lord and Savior. His unselfishness resulted in his donating organs through the organization LifeGift that saved lives.

John Mark was passionate about making the world a better place, doing good and working hard.  He was a bright light to all who knew him and a friend to all he met.  He was a deep thinker who was incredibly smart while also being spontaneously fun and adventurous.  He made and invested in numerous friendships as he encouraged all he encountered to live life 'full'.

John Mark was a miracle made possible through an extraordinary forever family and the Nightlight Christian Adoptions Snowflake Embryo Adoption program.  John Mark was Snowflake #130. In lieu of flowers you can make a contribution here and put 'In honor of John Mark Jones' in the Donation Memo.

He was born in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2007. John Mark was deeply loved by his parents Jack L. Jones, Jr. (JJ) and Tracy S. Robare Jones, his brother Trey Jones, paternal grandparents Jack L. Jones, Sr. and Jeannie Jones, and maternal grandparents Mark and Shirley Robare.  He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and other family that loved him.

John Mark was also survived by his Snowflake Family: Paul, Linda, Luke, and Matthew Stuckenbruck and David, Heather, Jackson, Rachel, and Ben Wright.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Faithbridge Church, 18000 Stuebner Airline Rd., Spring, Tx. 77379, on Saturday, April 11th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Center Court East, followed by a reception at 12:00 p.m., in the Center Court East Atrium.  For those that knew John Mark, you know he had a 'come as you are' style that was all his own.  In honor of him, we encourage you to come as you are.  If you knew him through Texas Tech or Klein Cain, feel free to rep colors.  Otherwise, be comfortable and bright in his honor as we celebrate his miraculous life.
