John Kearns was born in Fairview Park, Ohio on February 29,1956 to the late John and Helen Kearns. While growing up in Elyria,Ohio, John quickly learned he was not a fan of snow. After a series of moves, he found his home in Texas, and began a career in the Irrigation Industry which lasted over 35 years.
John began his career at Z Water Works in Spring, TX and rounded out his career with O'Neill and Dunbar. Both held a special place in his heart.
John had many adventures in his life. His wildest adventure started in 1994 when he married Cheryl. Their story is too long to write here but some of John's favorite memories were hot air ballooning in New Mexico, traveling as Crew Chief for a Jr. Dragster, anything to do with horses, and the births of his children.
John enjoyed spending time with his family. His four children brought him an immense amount of joy. He loved going to early morning breakfast with them, restoring their antique car together, sharing life lessons and teaching them skills that they can pass on to future generations.
John will be greatly missed by his family. Wife Cheryl Kearns. Children Tyler (Karen) Kearns, Austin Kearns, Katy Kearns and Taylor Kearns. His brothers Jeff (Connie) Kearns and Mike (Krissi) Kearns and sister Pattie (Rob) Smith. Nephews Rob Kearns and Michael Kearns and Father-in Law WF (Billy) Halley Jr. along with many friends.
Memorial donations can be made to Trinity Klein's Ark Nursery.
