John F. Grivet, Jr.

July 1, 1933- July 9, 2020

John Frank Grivet was born on July 1, 1933 in St. Louis, Mo. He is preceded by his son, Troy, and his sisters Virginia and Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce, his children Renee' Haase, Richard Grivet, Ricky Higgins, Alan Higgins and Toni Bethea. He leaves a beautiful legacy for his 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

John enlisted for 8 years in the Army in 1953, where he served active duty, as a Staff Sergeant for 2 years in Alaska and 6 years in reserves. John was a long time member of the Piney Woods Model A Club and the Special Interests 50's club. But his true passion was being a Sunday School teacher, the latest as a 5th & 6th grade teacher at Crossview Church, where he served over 20 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.
