It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Mac Gimble, who passed away on June 6, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 83.
Born on April 13, 1943, in Lindale, Texas, John lived a life marked by love, strength, integrity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, gentle humor, and the quiet way he cared for others. His life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
John proudly served four years in the United States Air Force, reflecting the duty, honor, and commitment he carried throughout his life. After his service, he worked in the insurance industry for over 45 years, where he was known for his professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic.
John found great joy in woodworking, a craft that reflected his patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Whether building furniture, making gifts for loved ones, or spending time in his workshop, he took pride in creating things that would be useful, beautiful, and lasting. The pieces he made will remain treasured reminders of his skill and love for his family.
John is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Gail Gimble; his daughter, Tonya Brower; his grandchildren, Drew and Hannah Brower; his cherished great-granddaughter, Melody Brower; and his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Betty Gimble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma Beatrice and John Gimble, and his brother, Don. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
John's life was a blessing to those who knew him. His love, wisdom, devotion to family, and willingness to serve others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
