John M. Galloway was born December 19, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to parents William C. Galloway, Sr. and Anna L. (Hildebrandt) Galloway.

On May 16, 2018, John met his Savior, at the age of 76, near Tomball, Texas.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, along with his brothers William C. Galloway Jr. & Howard E. Galloway.

John is survived by his brother, Robert A. Galloway, and sweetheart of over 50yrs, Marie Gerzevske.

He also adored three generations of loving nieces & nephews.

John was a proud life-long resident of Harris County, growing up and attending school in Aldine.

He also resided in Spring & Klein, eventually retiring with Marie in Tomball.

From his childhood in the Lutheran Walther League and Boy Scouts, to working rice fields, John was always willing to work, help, and learn.

As an adult, he was truly a "jack of all trades" with detailed knowledge on a seemingly infinite range of subjects.

John's career & hobbies spanned a large range of interest, including an engineering firm, designing and drafting vessels, lettering and painting signs, collecting and refurbishing classic cars, automotive upholstery work, collecting antiques and coins, and working in the oilfield industry with several of his nephews until retirement.

He was always providing knowledge and sharing experience with those around him, and continuously keeping everyone supplied with jokes and smiles.

Of all the things he's remembered for, his love of old cars will probably be the thing that stands out the most.

He was known by many people for his time spent swapping and selling these collectables. He loved helping others in this hobby.

He was a unique and special combination of a hard-working man; dedicated to family, true to friends, and a role-model to most who knew him. He constantly reveled in his ridiculously addictive sense of humor, and was always a trickster at heart.

John left an impression with everyone he met. A great and grievous void will be felt by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project , in memory of John M. Galloway, to honor the pride John had for his many friends & family members who have served our country.
