In Memoriam: John, a Sweet Soul with a Passion for Life

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John, a beloved husband, father, friend, and an individual who made a remarkable journey through life. John's story was one of passion, love, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

John was born on February 22nd, 1969 in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in St. Peter's Missouri. He attended Ft. Zumwalt High School and studied at Hawaii Pacific University. Although he traveled to any possible city, state, and country, he resided in Houston, Texas, for the last 30 years with his family. Over the years his career took many turns, starting with enlisting in the Army at the age of 17, working as a Seismic Field Engineer for quite some time, and doing many odd ends for those who needed, but he landed happily at Blue Haven Pools doing work that was meant for him and brought him great joy.

To know John for even a day was a pleasure as his kindness was deeply felt, and his sense of humor was extremely enjoyable. From playing his favorite songs on the guitar in 'John's Garage' to teaching himself how to make homemade wine, he was a man of many talents and one that always had a story to tell. His happiness was contagious and the goofy jokes are already being longed for, as he brought so much life into the lives of those he spoke to.

John's greatest joy was his family. His love for his wife, Michele, was a testament to the power of enduring love. Their journey together was filled with laughter, shared dreams, and the strength to weather life's storms hand in hand. John's commitment to his children was unwavering, and he instilled in them the values of love, compassion, and the importance of enjoying everything life had to offer.

Bella, John's faithful companion, was a source of endless joy and comfort in his life. Their bond was shown through unconditional love and many hours spent together. Whether they were cuddling on the couch or taking a drive in his truck, she was at peace with him near and he loved having her there.

In his passing, we are reminded of the preciousness of life, the depth of love, and the importance of fighting a good fight. John's life was a symphony of moments, each one filled with the richness of his spirit. Though he may be gone from our physical world, his love and the memories we shared with him will forever remain in our hearts.

He was preceded by his parents, John Senior, Ginger, and Virginia, and his sister, Lori.

He's survived by his wife Michele, and six kids, Brenden, Haley, Justin, Brittany, Cheyanne, and Nathan; three sisters, one brother, and four grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with the family between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065, where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of John's life will continue at the Flint residence following his service. In honor of John, everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt.

Rest in eternal peace, dear John. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
