John Reed Eachus, age 86, passed away on April 23, 2018 in Houston, Texas. John was born in Adrian, Missouri to Otto Gail Eachus, Sr. and Florence Wolfe Eachus on June 4th 1931.

John is survived by his wife Lillie M. Eachus and their three children: Colleen Eachus of Aurora, Colorado, Michael Eachus of Dallas, Texas, and Kevin Eachus of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Evelyn Thornton of Chase, Kansas.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Gail Eachus, Sr. and Florence Wolfe Eachus as well as his brother, Otto G. Eachus, and his sister, Annabelle La Fleur.

The family lived in many small communities in rural Missouri where his father worked at the local telephone office. John graduated from Odessa High School in 1949. Shortly thereafter he joined the army where he served in Korea. After his service, he met Lillie Schmidt in Kansas City, Missouri and they were married and had three children: Colleen, Michael and Kevin.

John spent most of his adult life working in the telephone industry. He was employed by Western Electric (which later became part of AT&T) and transferred to Houston, Texas in 1974. He retired at age 62. John and Lillie enjoyed these retirement years traveling and visiting their children.
