John Gilbert Duhé died peacefully on November 19, 2020 on his 91st birthday following a year of declining health in Cypress, Texas. Born on November 19, 1929 in Reserve, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Janis Gail Vessels Duhé, parents Evariste and Irene Cicet Duhé, and nine of his 10 siblings.

John is survived by his children Raymond Evariste Duhé and Nanda Victorine Duhé Kirkpatrick and their spouses; grandchildren Denise Reinard, Lisa Stanton, Reilly and Russell Kirkpatrick, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Phyllis Duhé.

John, known as Gilbert growing up, was a math whiz, played the guitar and in his younger years, worked as a "snake catcher" to earn extra money. He met his wife, Janis, while on furlough during his service in the army during the Korean Conflict. Professionally, he worked as a machinist. In retirement, he and Janis were known for their beautiful stained-glass creations that they crafted through the Angel House, a ministry of Cypress United Methodist Church where they were members since the mid-70's. He loved dancing of all kinds: ballroom, square dancing, clogging, and he even learned to tap dance at the age of 75.

Visitation will be at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball on Monday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday at 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Klein Cemetery in Pinehurst.
