John Cuccia, 83, of Cypress, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.
John was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a skilled craftsman known for his strong work ethic and steady presence. He was a loyal and hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He spent many years working as a carpenter, a trade he honored deeply, using his hands to build not only structures but a life grounded in dedication and care. He was a proud member of Local Carpenter's Union 551 for over 50 years, a testament to his commitment to his craft and his fellow workers.
Born in Sicily, Italy, John immigrated to the United States in 1959. He took great pride in becoming a United States citizen in 1965, embracing the opportunities of his new home and building a life through perseverance and determination.
He shared 39 loving years of marriage with his wife, Cindy, who was his constant companion and partner through life's many seasons. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, love, and quiet strength. Later in life, John devoted time to his faith journey, attending church regularly as a member of Second Baptist Church, which became an important source of comfort and purpose.
John had a deep love for his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He was also an avid fan of the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans, rarely missing a chance to watch and support his hometown teams.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy; his four children, Michael (Cathy), Kenneth (Roseana), Stephanie (Theo), and Kyle (Maddie); his seven grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Callie, Eli, Abel, Jaxon, and Emerson; and his two great-grandchildren, Connor and Caden.
