John Richard Collins,73, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025.

Born on February 12, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the son of Hugh and Margaret Collins. He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1971 and married his high school sweetheart, Susan Allred Collins in December that year. He immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for four years.

John Collins was known for his sense of humor, kindness and love of the outdoors and history. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to charm any room he walked into.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Collins and his mother Margaret Collins. He is survived by his wife, Susan Collins, his brothers Hugh Collins and Charles Collins, his daughter Beth Stevenson and husband Scott, John Collins, Jr. and wife Terrell and Sarah McDevitt and husband Blain, and his grandchildren Jack Stevenson, Will Stevenson, Sam Stevenson and Conner McDevitt.

A funeral service will be held July 1st at 10am at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball.

We will miss John dearly and he will forever be in our hearts.
