John Wayne Cobbs was born on February 19, 1953, in DeRidder, Louisiana and passed away on January 1, 2026 in Houston, Texas.

John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Deborah Loraine (Norwood) Cobbs, son, Jonathan Bryan Cobbs (Liza Serna) and sister, Frances Cobbs Huggins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Susanne Cobbs, parents, Clyde R. Cobbs and Emma Dirksen, brother, Ralph A. Cobbs and sister, Sharon L. Cobbs.

Graduating from McNeese State University in 1976 would pave the way for his devoted career in oil and gas. He would become a project manager for various companies in, The Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

John had a lifelong love of motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. After retirement he discovered the joy of cruising, collecting art and jewelry. He had an extensive cowboy boot collection and was an avid University of Texas football fan. He loved his dogs, Molly and Annie, and his 5 cats.

The family would like to invite guests to visit at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball (1400 W. Main St. Tomball, TX 77375) Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Klein Memorial Park (32509 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX 77362).
