John Stovin Bird Jr. Age 73, passed away peacefully, on January 25, 2025, at his beloved home in Spring, Texas with his family by his side.

John was born, January 13, 1952 in Cleveland Ohio, and was raised in Troy, Ohio where he Graduated from Troy High School in 1970. From there, John's journey brought him to Houston Texas, where he set roots in Spring Texas, for himself and family for 36 years. John's career Ozarka started in 1981 and after 35 years of service retired, to settle in to a quiet life enjoying his favorite things. John spent his days visiting the library, and being an ad vivid reader. John loved gardening and tending to his plants, fishing, watching his granddaughters play volleyball, golf-cart rides and was one of the Houston Astros most loyal fans. Johns most treasured time was spent cooking and watching the Astros with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

John is proceeding in death by his father John Stovin Bird sr. and mother Eileen Frances O'Neill Bird. He is survived by his son David Michael Bird, daughter Morgan McKenzie Bird, her partner Christopher Capers, their mother Debra Bird and grandchildren Alexis Vickers, fiancé Cole Ruthstrom, Audrey Vickers, Adrianne Vickers, Chloe Capers, and Alexandra Capers. Brother David Bird and his wife Janette Bird, sister Kathleen Cox and her husband Michael cox. Nephews Michael Cox, Matthew Cox, and Sean Cox. Nieces Katie Winland, Rachel Trotta, and Anna Lutz.

John touched the lives of many people near and far that he loved and cared about. He will truly be missed by those that love him and people he impacted. In the wise words of John Bird GO STROS Please join us in a celebration of John's life.
