Obituary

John Allgaier passed away in peace, at the age of 94, on June 20, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Joan Marie Allgaier; his parents, Joseph and Maria Allgaier; brother, Joseph and his wife Jackie and son Joseph G. Allgaier of Delmar New York; and sister-in-law, Joan and son Francis P. Allgaier of White Plains, New York.

John is survived by his brother, Frank Allgaier of White Plains, New York; daughter, Nancy Moore and husband Joel of Houston, Texas; son, John D. Allgaier and wife Sunny of Katy, Texas; daughter, Carolyn Triana and husband Brian of Peachtree City, Georgia; grandchildren, Mary Kate Feinberg and husband Jeff, Guy Kmiec and wife Lauren, Lex Allgaier, and Patrick and Carly Triana; and great-grandchildren, Ryder Chad, Naoma Francis, Billie Rose and Charlie Grace Kmiec, and Summer Ann Feinberg.

John was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 27, 1926. Following his graduation from Brooklyn Tech High School he served in the United States Merchant Marines. Upon his completion of his Merchant duty, he graduated from Clarkson College in Potsdam, New York, with a degree in Civil Engineering.

As a young engineer on assignment, he met his beloved wife Joanie in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Working his entire professional career for Foster Wheeler, John's assignments took the family across the United States and abroad forming wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.

John's zest for life included sailing, music, dancing, entertaining, travel, and family road trips. His wonderful "Hello!", firm handshake, and warm hug will be remembered by all. His greatest joys came through spending time with his family and friendships he made throughout the years.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Klein Funeral Home - Champions, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas, with a g raveside service to follow at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, a special one-time donation can be made to St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church. Please reference IMO – John Allgaier/Building Fund
