Joe Alexander Klein, age 65, passed away on July 7, 2026, after a battle with cancer. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.
He was born on July 14, 1960, the oldest child of Robert John Klein and Anna Ruth Birkner Klein. Joe was baptized into the Christian faith on August 14, 1960, at Zion Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas and was confirmed in his faith on April 7, 1974, at Salem Lutheran Church in Rosehill, Texas.
Joe attended Tomball Lutheran School and graduated from Tomball High School in 1978. He was a member of the Class of 1982 at Texas A&M University and graduated in December 1981 with a bachelor's in business administration. Upon graduation, he began working full-time with his father at Klein's Super Market as a manager and completed his career at Klein's when the supermarket closed in 2010. Joe married Dorothy Jean Broderick on June 21, 1986, and they were blessed with daughters Katherine Rosa Klein in 1990 and Rebekah Anne Klein in 1994.
Joe was a life-long Lutheran and current member of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church in Klein, Texas where his great-great grandfather was a founding member of the congregation.
Joe loved the outdoors and spending time at the family's THR Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas. Throughout the years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow skiing, traveling, and any project that required some tinkering or a fix-it man.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Robert Klein, and mother-in-law, Jan Broderick.
Survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Broderick Klein; daughters, Katherine Rosa Klein and Rebekah Anne Klein; mother, Anna Ruth Birkner Klein; father-in-law, Daniel T. Broderick; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Traci Klein; niece and nephews, Caroline Klein, James Klein and William Klein; Numerous other relatives and friends
