Obituary

Jodie Ann Stangarone Buckwalter, Jo to her beloved husband, Mom to her children, Gran to her grandchildren, Aunt Jodie to family, and Jodie to her other family and friends.
Jodie was the most committed wife and mother.  She was truly grateful for her family, and nothing brought her more joy.  She believed in making all occasions "special" and was known for her family get-togethers, homecooked meals and spoiling her grandchildren.  Her attitude of consistent gratefulness was felt by all who knew her.  She loved to travel and was always ready for a road trip.  Visiting family and friends in Indiana, renting a beach cottage on Lake Michigan, catching a game at Wrigley Field, or headed to Florida for her grandson's baseball tournament, she was always up for it.
Jodie recently celebrated her 30th anniversary with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.  She loved her career and was dedicated to always doing her best.  This was evident from decades of performance reviews, raises and promotions.  Her coworkers, suppliers and vendors were a second family to her, and many became lifelong friends.
Jodie fought and finished her battle here on earth and moved into the arms of Jesus on December 8, 2022, at the age of 68.  She was born on August 12, 1954, to Larrie May Darbonne and Victor Eugene Santoni in Gary, Indiana, both who preceded her in death.  Jodie was also preceded in death by her Grandparents, Tansy and Nita Darbonne, as well as Edward and Josephine Stangarone; her aunts, Ermine Pugh, Grace Drinan, and uncle, John Stangarone.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Daniel Buckwalter (Danny), her daughters, Laura Royer and husband, Shawn of Cypress, TX, Leslie Walters of Magnolia, TX, and her son, Jacob Buckwalter and wife Angela of Magnolia, TX.  Grandchildren Reagan Danielle, Brianna Renee, Joshua Chase, Trenton Allan, and Dylan Michael.  Her siblings include Janelle Dooge, husband Lindy, Janis Hughes, and Todd Stangarone (Carolann, deceased); nieces and nephews; Sarah Lynn, Joshua Eugene, Jeremy Lee, Jeffery Joseph, Brandee Gail.  Cousins Robert Kraus, Valerie Stayskal, husband Bob, Kathleen Szkwarek, husband Bob, and Lisa Boudreau, husband John; as well as numerous other extended family members.
Jodie has touched many lives and leaves behind friends from her school days at Horace Mann and Chesterton High School in her home state of Indiana. She was very loved and will be missed tremendously.
Jodie believed that all people should be able to live life on their own terms, a sentiment passed down from her mother.  May we all live our lives as best we can.
Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas, on January 13, 2023 at 2pm.
