Joanne M. Viehman, of Magnolia, Texas, passed peacefully at home on her 82nd birthday, October 10, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed dearly. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, on October 10, 1938, her parents, Anna and Joseph Foremny, were descendants of Poland.

Joanne enjoyed anything with music, art, and performance at a young age. She taught Polish folk dancing and singing at the Polish National Alliance as a young teen. She had a fantastic singing career, performing in high school productions and later the operas, "La Traviata" and "Aida" and "Madame Butterfly."

Joanne first took an interest in the violin following her sister's footsteps, Gerry, who taught violin. Though she had a love for singing and dancing, the violin is where her real talent lay. She enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the violin at St. Matthias Catholic Church. She also played the violin for the prestigious North Houston Symphony's musical productions in Houston, Texas. Also, she loved to paint beautiful colorful landscapes, a hobby where she was self-taught.

She was a gentle spirit of deep faith who loved her Polish heritage and treasured her family. Joanne loved to cook, especially Polish cuisine, and her cookies were the best in the world. With her compassionate and loving heart, sharp wit, and gentle spirit, she reflected thoughtfulness and caring towards others.

Her parents, her husband, Bert Viehman, her sister, Madge Cech, her brother, Joseph Foremny, and her son, Thomas Temple, Jr., precede Joanne in death. Her two daughters, Joanna Johnston (Patrick) and Christina Gutierrez (Curt), and her grandson, Nicholas Johnston, survives her. Her beloved sister, Gerry Burke, her granddaughter, Elena Walker (Leroy), her four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

There will be a private ceremony for the family at St. Matthias Catholic Church located at 302 Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX 77355, with a private burial to follow at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery, 32509 TX-249.
